The goal of weight loss is determined by the number on the scale. What if I told you that this is false. The goal of weight loss is more over determined by our daily actions. Mindset is the key factor when trying to accomplish anything whether it being a star student in class, building a business or losing and maintaining weight. If we throw out the number and start to hone in on our daily habits instead, we can accomplish anything.
This is my bread and butter when it comes to counseling. Motivational Interviewing can help us understand your exact long-term goals. This isn't a 3-month scheme but rather a habit building/maintenance/taking action habitat. For those who don't focus on the scale but rather set their mind to increased activity, increased protein/increased fruits and vegetables daily the actual goal of "weight loss" will be more easily achieved. So don't focus on the number instead focus on NSVs.
